Exclusive Slim PS3 games coming this year By Matt Haworth of Slim PS3 The new version of the PlayStation 3 games console, dubbed the Slim PS3, was launched on 1 September 2009. Since then it has seen impressive figure and with the holiday season approaching Sony are set to release a raft of new games which are exclusive to the PlayStation console. This exclusivity means that if people want to play them then they have to buy a PS3 as they aren’t available anywhere else. We take a quick look at these new games: Gran Turismo 5 The long awaited diving simulator is set to be the biggest hit on the PlayStation 3 so far. Gamers can expect loads of new car and tracks along with vehicle damage for the very first time in the series. God of War: Collection This former PS2 game will see a release on the PS3 this autumn. This tweaked version will see graphics enhancement in the form of 720p resolution and 60 FPS (frames per second) support. Demon's Souls This role playing game should provide a deep and engrossing experience where the player has to fight their way through a world of scary creatures. They aren’t many role playing games on the PS3 so this one should be well received by fans of the genre. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves A successor to Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Among Thieves looks to build on the popular original with enhanced graphics and online connectivity. Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time Another Ratchet & Clank game is bound to be a hit on the Slim PS3. These are always big sellers and this new version should bring the usual improved graphics and better online game playing modes. Remember, these games are all Sony exclusives so you’ll need a PlayStation 3 console to play them on.
